How do I file a motion to vacate a judgment

I recently received a letter titled "Affidavit Judgment Entered". It states that I have until a specific date to file a motion to vacate the judgment, stating a factual and legal basis for a defense. My question is, how do I go about doing this and can you give me an example of a legal basis for defense? This loan company sued me because they said I was always behind in my payments. Never once did I give the indication that I wasn't going to fulfill my end of the agreement. It is a 5 year loan and I have less than a year to finish the payments.

Your failure to answer the lawsuit resulted in entry of the judgment. If you have a valid defense (e.g., you are not behind on your payments), you can move to vacate in a timely manner (which has probably run, given the delay in posting your message). You should have a lawyer do this.
