Generally you would either need to satisfy the judgment (meaning pay it) or get it discharged in bankruptcy. Every suit must be served on the defendant, though it is possible to serve on someone else in the house or by certified mail.
You may wish to go to the courthouse where these suits were filed and look at the actual case(s) to see what proof of service was filed. In very rare instances where fraud or mistake got the plaintiff a judgment a judgment debtor can ask to have it kicked out for those reasons though generally speaking an enrolled judgment is extremely hard to change after it is entered.
