Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland
Judgement
I went through a debt consolidation back in February to consolidate a some debt and one was a truck that I owe $11,000. Now the lawyer for the plaintiff sent me a letter stating I can pay $400 monthly and that is what they settled on with the debt company. Now the debt company told me they are dropping them from my debt and I have to pay the $400 monthly. I don't even make $1,000 every two weeks. There's no way I can afford $400 monthly. I have until the 15th of August to file an affidavit with the court. I do know I owe the money but do you think I could file an affidavit to get my payment down to at least $200 although I can't afford that? Hess Kennedy is the debt company I went through and they made it worst. I have to wait until April of 2008 to file bankrupt because I filed it once. But being stupid like I was, I signed my name on the dotted line for an ex-boyfriend who stuck me with the bill.

Re: Judgement
I need more information before I can advise you on your options. Such as when were you discharged from the first bankruptcy and what chapter did you file?
