If you wish to appeal the matter, you have (in most instances) 30 days to do that. If the judgment was entered by the District Court of Baltimore City, the judgment will automatically be entered in the land records as a lien against any real property that you own in Baltimore City. In all other District Courts in Maryland, the Judgment Creditor (usually the Plaintiff) must request that the Court establish this lien. That, of course depends on how quickly the Judgment Creditor moves to make that request. Some Judgment Creditors don't bother with this (there is a small fee to have this done) but instead will file papers to garnish wages or other assets (such as bank accounts) or to attach other property (stocks or vehicles for example). You should receive paperwork from the Court and/or the Judgment Creditor of everything which is filed with the Court and, with garnishments and attachments, will have an opportunity to respond before they become effective.

credit reporting agencies receive regular updates on court information, probably within a few months, maybe less, it will start showing up on your credit reports.
