Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

open judgment

I have a civil judgment against me for failure to answer the complaint. How do I open the judgment against me so I can answer the complaint and move forward with a defense/cross claim? The case is in Montgomery County District Court, Maryland. Thank you.

Re: open judgment

If you already have a judgment against you, you should consult with a lawyer, as getting around this is not something you are likely to be able to do yourself. If it is ony an Order of Default, and has not yet become a Judgment, you are in better shape, but act fast whatever you do.
