Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland
i recieved a court summons for a unpaid credit card the paper work inside was not for me the lawer must have got it mixed up with some one else what sould i do?

I suggest you call the plaintiff's attorney. The attorney name / number should be on the Complaint.
Does the person for whom it was intended have the same name as you? Or is it a complete mix-up? If the name and address on the summons is you, even if the supporting paperwork is not, you still have to be very careful with this. One thing you should NOT do is ignore the summons. If you cannot get in touch with the attorney before the court date, you should go to court and explain that the paperwork is for someone else. If the summons is directed to you (even if the paperwork is for someone else) and you do not show up, you are still at risk of a default judgment against YOU.
