Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland
My wife started getting allergy shots. The allergy vials were $400.00 per vial and had to be paid prior to the injections. We paid upfront for the first vial. My wife stopped going to this doctor after about 3 or 4 injection. There are numerous injections in the vial that she did not get. The office then mixed up 2 more vials of the allergy serum over the next couple of months, even though my wife was not getting the injections anymore. I get a bill for $800.00, call them. They tell me they will write off one of the two vials, but I will have to pay for the other. Then they play lets make a deal, pay $100.00 and we'll call it even. I tell them no. They send me to collections. I dispute it with collections, sent a letter certified mail. Collections company tells me that there is nothing they can do. Basically they are just the hounds sent to get the pound of flesh, in not so many words. I told them to just take me to court. I don't see how I can be sent for collections for something I, nor my wife ever approved to be mixed and this will end up on my credit report, just watch! Now the collection company is adding interest! What can I do to put an end to this?

You know the answer to your question -- hire a lawyer. The collection company will continue to add interest, late fees, attorney fees, etc. They will also destroy your credit.
