Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
18 year old daughter cited for marijuana paraphenalia. She has no record. She agreed to do Montgomery County process and take course and pay fine to have record expunged. But there is a court date whereby she is supposed to attest to this. She attends out of state university. County says she does not have to be present but her lawyer can speak for her. Can I as her father speak for her without a lawyer?

Only an attorney can 'stand in' for your daughter. You may also have other options. Either way, you should speak with an attorney.
