Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Bad check
I recieved a child support check and just found out it bounced my checking acct. I have contacted the other party and they are aware of it. How long should I give him to take care of it? What are my options and what do I have to do in order to file charges against him?

Re: Bad check
Writing a check knowing that you intend to not honor it is criminal offense. Whether the state intends to pursue this is another matter.
You have a civil matter that may require legal assistance. There are several options including applying for government collection. Contact an attorney.
