Bad Checks
What are the laws against a bad check ,is it based on the date of the check written if thesfunds are insuffient or if the person puts a stop payment on the check after an attemp to cash the check has been made will the law see it a a bad check or as a stop payment check?

A "bad check" is a check that is written when there are insufficient funds to cover the check at the time it is written, or at the time that the check is presented for payment. A "stop payment" on a check makes in a bad check only if you intended to put the stop payment on the check at the time it was written.
