Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Car damage from our 8 yo son and neighbor
Our 8 yo joined his 9 yo baseball teammate neighbor pitching landscape pebbles into the street..the boy's parents told us they were confronted by a woman renter living in the house diagonally across whose 2002 BMW 325i was damaged. Our son admitted his part & we had him write & deliver an apology telling the woman we'd pay for the damage with our neighbor & to please let us have e stimates. Yesterday afternoon June 2, we discovered an estimate for $6,000 of repair work from VOB BMW stuffed into our mailbox without note or explanation. A separate $1900 estimate appeared to illustrate our portion of the damage Plus weekly rental & detailing. We think it is expensive and hope she is more reasonable. Can you advise anything please?

Re: Car damage from our 8 yo son and neighbor
I'd advise you to tell this woman that if she's going to waste her money on a BMW, she should at least get a 5-series, and preferably a 7-series. And either way, if she doesn't want it to be damaged, she should park it in her garage.
Seriously, I'm not sure if this question is appropriate for the "criminal law" section of this board, but $7900 seems steep for some pebble damage. Even considering how expensive it can be to repair a European car.
