how can I clear my criminal background?

I was caught on a Jcpenny store on 1999 for shopilifting I wasn't arrested but I got citation to go to court to fix my problem, for the avise of a state lawer that represent me I declare myself guilty and they give me unsupervise provation for a year. I told that it was over and keep working in a bank I was working for Bank of America and after two years I got another job on another Bank and keep working until 12/2004. after that I had to move to Dallas Texas for Family problems over in Texas that they need me over here. The problem is that I loooking for a job here since them and I haven't been able to find a decent job. And my quesstion is what can I do to get that black record remove from my Criminal Background, Thanks.

Depending upon the actual charge and sentence, and the location of the charge, we may be able to expunge the record. An expunction will wipe off the record that the incident ever occurred. Most counties charge a filing fee of approximately $200 and attorney fees vary, but are reasonble. What county/state did the incident occur, and what county do you now reside in? TCL
