Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Can I be compelled to testify against my will?
There was a robbery that took place at a 7-Eleven store in Prince Geaorge County.I happened to be there at the time the robbery occured.I did not see the face of the robbers .Now I am being asked to testify what I did not see .Can I say no?

If you have received a court subpoena, you must testify. In fact, if you do not appear on the trial date, you may be subject to immediate arrest.
However, if you really do not have any information to contribute to the case, you should phone the attorney who issued the subpoena and tell them that. It is possible that they will excuse you from appearing.
