i've been charged with first degree burglary but its my first offense whats my chances of staying out of jail

Whether or not you go to jail on a first offense for a serious crime like first degree burglary depends on a lot of factors, including the seriousness of the crime, how it was committed, what happened afterward, how the crime was planned, etc. For this type of offense, now is the time to talk to a criminal lawyer, like myself, first to see if the State can actually prove the case, and second to begin to work on mitigating factors to keep you out of jail.
