Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

destruction of whose property

I caught two men in the tree in my back yard putting up a satellite. I asked them to remove it and they refused. I called the police, 2 came out and said they are unable to do anything, it was a civil case and to check with the city for guidelines. I called the city and was told they were unable to do anything because it was my property. I was also told by the city that I had the right to remove the stallite. I called the police the same day I got the answer from the city, asking for help, this time no one came out and I was told again there was nothing they could do for me. I went to the police station to be told the same thing and that I have the right to remove the satellite. Now I have to go to court for destructiion of property charges. Explain to me why this person was able to charge me with cutting their cables but I was unable to receive any assistance from the city at all. And, was told I could not press such charges? Also the person lives in an apartment with does not allow satellite connections, I found this out when I went to the landlord of the building.

Re: destruction of whose property

You should receive a copy of the complaint filed and it will tell you whose property you alleged destroyed.

An Attorney can make sure you are treated fairly by the government.
