Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
domestic violence
I was taken to court for spanking my daughter and son and accused of leaving a mark on their buttocks. Im a disabled veteran and have been an avid hunter all my life. I recently learned Im not allowed to buy or own a firearm because it was considered domestic violence. This happened in 1994 in Md. Due to my limited funds my attorney advised me at the time to take a deal and said the record wouldn't affect me. (2 cnts of battery) (2 cnts of child abuse) I have never been in any trouble and no recent violations. How hard is it to have this record expunged or pardoned?
