Email forgery
What crime has been committed by forging a email sent to you by forwarding it to someone else...and pasting over the orginal message?

Depending on intent a crime may lie. Where defamation or defalcation occurs an issue could be made. Essentially, there must be an intent to do harm that requires proving.
Misuse of electronic communication is presided by an assortment of Federal and state laws and is quite complex. If legal action is being taken against you for any alleged misuse, you should contact an attorney for assistance.
