how do you go about getting your record esponged. I comitted a crime in 1989 or there abouts and would like it esponged to allow me to go to school. what do i need to do?

You can visit the clerk's office where you were charged, and get a form for a motion for expungement. You will need the name of the police agency that arrested or charged you, as well as the case number and other general case information. You generally cannot have a felony expunged, but misdemeanors can almost always be expunged after 10 years. The form should explain the different bases for expungement.
