Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Expungement question
A person was tried on four charges. If the person was found GUILTY on one charge and NOT GUILTY on the other three, is it possible to expunge the three Not Guilty charges? If so, would it require the same Petition for Expungement of Records availble in the District Court? Also, is it possible to expunge a guilty misdemeanor finding after a number of years? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Re: Expungement question
You can only expunge an "event", that is, one arrest and all the charges associated with that arrest. If you were charged with 4 violations and they were tried together, then you cannot expunge the "event" if you were found guilty of one of those charges.
