Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Fake Charges
I filed 2nd degree assault charges on my boyfriend to scare him not knowign that the state would take the charges and prosecute him. What will happen to em if I go tell the states attorney that I filed the charges only to scare him, not because it really happened?

Admitting to filing a false report is a crime. Don't do it. Instead, contact a criminal lawyer, like myself, who can advise you of alternate means to accomplish the same results.
