What could happen
The worst thing that could happen is that you will have a theft conviction, which will greatly hamper you chances of a future job. Talk to an expierenced criminal lawyer, like myself, on what can be done to keep this conviction off your record.
Re: what could happen
You might be eligible for theft diversion or probation before judgment. But there are things you can do before trial to try and work the case out in an even more positive way. You should contact an attorney about your case, because there are many ways that these cases can sometimes be dropped, and an experienced attorney will give you the best chance to keep the conviction off your record.
