i got charged with theft over 1000 dollars and am a full time student in college. this is my first offense. what are the possibilities that am going to go to jail i dont have money for a lawyer

The fact that the theft is over $1,000.00, the chances of going to jail are greater if you don't have a lawyer. If you cannot afford a lawyer, get a public defender.
