Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Petition for Expungement
I petitioned Prince Georges County Circuit Court, Md. for expungement on case id: ct20879 from 1979, I found the disposition of the case at the court house, all charges were dropped in 1980, I submitted this proof with my petition but was denied by the same court because
the case can not be found in their
records, according to them. A hearing on the matter is
on Nov. 21, 2008, what should I do. Thank You, Robert

Was the petition denied in 1980 or more recently? Also, that CT number doesn't match the numbers they use now, such as CT-08 for a 2008 case. Are you sure you have it correct? I am not sure how case numbers looked in 1979.
