Petty Theft Sentencing

Is it normal for a first time offender with no criminal record or activity sent to sentence to jail on a Petty theft charged under one hundred dollar without given the chance to make restution?

Petty Theft Sentencing

If it has not been 30 days since the trial, an appeal should be taken. Most times the Judge will withhold the jail time until the appeal is over. This time use a criminal lawyer, like myself.
