Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
preliminary hearing
my son went before the commissioner for an alledged crime. he is in the detention center in aaco. right now. on the paper he received it states he has a prelim on 11/6 for the crime. in the judiciary case search it is listed as a trial not a prelim. this is district court. should we worry? can they do that? or is it more likely a typo?

Re: preliminary hearing
The case search often lists preliminary inquiries and preliminary hearings as trial dates. Depending on what he is charged with, this is most likely a prelim. Feel free to contact me with more specific questions.
