Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Reconsideration Motion
My boyfriend was given 14 years (2 consecutive sentences of 7 yrs). He has served 5.5 years and has a perfect incarceration record. (1) What are the chances of filing a reconsideration motion for the amount of the sentencing and getting a positive response? and what is the basic procedure?

Re: Reconsideration Motion
A Judge only has 90 days from the date of sentencing to reconsider a sentence. After that time, it is up to the parole board.
