how long do you have to wait to exponge a record and how much does it cost?

The answer depends on the disposition of the case. If you were found not guilty or the charges were dropped, you may file for expungement immediately. If the charge was stetted or you received probation before judgement, you must generally wait 3 years. Note that drunk driving PBJs cannot be expunged. The courts charge a $30 fee for a petition of expungement.
