Re: Self-defense

Yes, There is. Under the correct circumstances, everyone has a right to defend themselves and at times others. Such use of force must be reasonable and necessary under imminent well founded fear of harm. If there is a reasonable opportunity to flea or retreat that avenue must be taken first instead of use of force. Even prisoners in jail have a right to reasonably defend themselves against illegal/unreasonable use of force by jail guards, for example. The laws are complicated, there are perfect and imperfect defenses and the analysis of each case is dependent on its unique set of facts. We would be happy to meet with a prospective client in anticipation of representation in an actual case or controversy. The initial consultation (to determine what type of case is at issue and what the fees may) be is free. Call the Pishevar Law Firm to schedule a confidential meeting.
