shoplifting in Maryland
i was caught shoplifing in Kohls and have been charged, theft under $500, its my 1st time, i am 46, single mom, i have an PD and he wants me to just plea quilty? should i trust him or try and get the money to hire an private lawyer. if left on my record it will ruin my life

I only plead my clients guilty if I get something in return. You can go to a trial and lose and get the same result as pleading guilty. The penalty is no more. Get a second opinion.
