If your case was expunged in Maryland, that means you were not convicted. And if your employer only asks whether you were ever convicted, then no, you do not have to mention it, because you were not convicted. If they ask whether you were ever charged with a crime (which they shouldnt be asking), then you may want to tell them your charges were dropped and expunged.
