Re: State police

Can the police promise a suspect that they will not be arrested even if they were part of the crime? THE POLICE CAN SAY ANYTHING THEY WANT. Can they refuse to arresst this suspect when the states attorney ask them to? THE POLICE DO NOT WORK FOR THE STATE'S ATTORNEY. THE STATE'S ATTORNEY HAVE NO AUTHORITY OVER POLICE ACTION. Can the state turn this matter over to the state police? JURISDICTION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS DETERMINED BY THE TYPE OF CRIME AND LOCATION WHERE THE CRIME TOOK PLACE. FOR EXAMPLE, STATE POLICE HAVE NO JURISDICTION IN BALTIMORE CITY. Can you be arrested for 4 months with out an attorney visit? IF YOU HAVE EMPLOYED AN ATTORNEY, THE POLICE CANNOT PREVENT HIM FROM VISITING YOU.
