One state refuses to extridite from another

My son is on probation in Pa. & Md. He went before a judge & was charged with a summary offense in Pa. & left go. He was being supervised by Pa. parole for Md. probation & they took him to a state prison to be held for Md. Md. has a warrent for a misdameaner & will not transport him from Pa. No one will tell us what to do now. Just sit in jail?

He will have an extradition Hearing within 30 days unless he waives extradition. In this situation where he has a prior conviction in Maryland, he should probably waive extradition and face the probation violation charge as soon as possible.

Based on what you are indicating his probation in Pennsylvania has been revoked which has led to detainment in Maryland.
