In addition, I would also advise that you keep your contact information current with the court. Remember, stet is not a permanent decision to not prosecute. Should a decision to prosecute be made prior to the stet's expiration, you don't want to complicate matters by not showing up for a proceeding.

Re: Stet docket

It is important that you find out how long your STET was for. Because you should file for an "expungement" of your ciminal record. One you do that, even the police report and the arrest will be sealed and put away so that the public records do not reflect that you have a criminal record. If you do not remember how long the STET was for, you can find out or you can hire me to find out and file for your expungement for a $300 fee. Call me any time if you have a questions.

Re: Stet docket

Normally, in Mayrland, a case is placed on the stet docket for one year, assuming no other encounters with the justice system within that time.

Re: Stet docket

If you have your case number, the court clerk should be able to tell you how long the "stet" period is. You need to go back to the courthouse where the sentence was imposed. Usually, stets are for six months or one year, but you need to check what time was actually imposed by your judge.
