Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

i own a store and i installed a hidden camera to prevent employee theft. I caught an employee stealing. She says the tape can not be used to prosicute her. she is a law student. is this correct

First, video evidence is generally admissible if properly authenticated. Second, this is a question for the State's Attorney, not a bunch of defense lawyers.

She is wrong. Contact the police and show them the tape.
