Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Summons to appear
I have a summons to appear as a witness in a robbery. The summons has a date and time to appear, but I will not be available at that time. What choices do I have to not appear and what legal actions may be taken against me if I don't show up?

Re: Summons to appear
A "no-show" on a criminal summons may result in civil and criminal penalties against the person who does not appear as required. You should contact the prosecutor and discuss this matter. Simply not showing is a very poor course of action.
