Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Tickle
I have a case that I am the victim in and there is a code and a Tickle Name that I don't understand. I was wondering if you could tell me what it means. The code is HKTR and the Tickle Name is Hicks Rule Tickle. Can you please help me?

The Hicks rule is a reference to a Maryland case that dealt with the defendant's right to a speedy trial that is specified in a statute. The State must bring the case to trial within 180 days of the defendant's first court appearance, unless the defendant has waived the right explicitly or via a request for postponement.
