Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
underage drinking citation misidentification
I recently was cited for underage drinking at a party. However, i had no identification on me, and when the cop wrote down my information he misspelled and scrambled much of it up. I looked at the citation more closely in the morning and my name and address are both wrong. Will I not recieve my court summons in the mail? Should I contact the agency and tell them of the errors, or let it play out?

If you don't receive the court summons, and don't appear for trial, a warrant will be issued for your arrest. The smart thing to do is employ a criminal lawyer who can resolve this problem.
