Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

Violation of probation

I was involved n a home search and siezure warrant in Pikesville, MD. I am currently awaiting my preliminary hearing. I am also on probation in the state of MD. My question is, if I am found not guilty, or everything is dropped, would my probation still be violated?

Re: Violation of probation

If you are found Not Guilty, your probation would likely NOT be violated. You likely have the responsibility to report the new charges to your probation officer (depending on the terms of the Probation).

Re: Violation of probation

If the new charges are the only basis of the violation, and then if they were dropped, you would not be violated. Make sure you report the new charges to your P.O. if your probation contract requires that.
