Re: how to write a letter to my probation officer
Your probation officer can only do some much to help you. You are better off addressing a letter to the Judge as he/she ultimately has the power to decide what to do. Probation officers make recommendations that may or may not be followed by the Judge. Prosecutors also have a say in what could happen.
Before doing so, consult with an attorney to make sure your letter does not contain any information that could hurt your case or incriminate you.
