False positive urine test on work release
My son tested positive for PCP on a random urine test coming back to the jail from work release. He is serving 6 months for DWI. His last DWI was 5 years ago. He has really cleaned up his act, works hard, owns own home, just had a set back before christmas with the DWI. No way ever would he have done PCP, I am 100% sure of it, so is his fiance and his boss. He is now back in the ''population'' in the detention center and has a hearing this week. Could there have been some type of mix up in the urine or in the testing itself? What can he do? I've spoke to several lawyers, they don't know anything, said to wait to see what the hearing does. I just don't understand how it could have tested positive. Is this medical negligence? Can the urine be tested to make sure it really is his and not someone elses?

Because the stakes are high, I would hire my own expert to test the sample, as well as review the procedure used by the lab. Was the tech certified? Was the lab certified? Was the sample contaminated?
