probation before judgement-supervised
Do you need permission to leave the country on official business? Is this something I can do on my own (obtain permission w/out an attorney)? I leave on 9/27/08 Any advice is appreciated

The easiest way is to get permission from your probation officer. If he/she won't give it to you, you have to file a motion to the judge. You can get standardized motion forms at the clerk's office and from the forms link on my website -- www.jasoncleckner.com.
