my husband is possibly being sued regarding a matter that occured YEARS before we were married, is it possible that they can touch my personal savings in MY name?

Being married you should ensure that your property is titled in both names. Married couples in Maryland can have property titled as tenants by the entirety which cannot be attached for a judgment of a spouse.

Personal property cannot be attached for a judgment against another person.
