Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

1 year old

This is a great site. Thanks for all your advice so far. I have lots of questions. I am preparing to go to mediation for 1 year old son. I prefer to keep the same schedule as the temp order which states every other weekend. Is there a standard visitation schedule in MD for babies? Would it be unreasonable to request the child only stay one overnight for Thanksgiving and Xmas and be returned the next day. I would prefer no extended visitation until the child is older. Also. Will I have to speak to or see my ex while in mediation? Should I bring my proposed schedule? Will I look bad if I dont agree to anything more than the standard EOW schedule

There is no standard visitation schedule, although eow is common. Holidays are usually part of the schedule. You will have to see your ex--that's part of the mediation--but the mediator will determine how much direct communication there is between you, or whether he/she will speak to each of you separately.
