Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Hi im 24 years old and recently received a prescription of alprazalom and my parents are withholding it from me. Are they legally allowed to deprive me of my prescription .THey just took it away and are holding hostage and im an adult and i wasnt trying to hurt myself or nething, i dont hjave any sucidal tendencies or mental issues except anxiety which is what my medicine is for. thank you

Your parents had no legal right to do this; it sounds like they are worried that you are potentially overmedicating. I'm assuming they haven't obtained a legal guardianship over you, which would give them the right to do this.
