is it adultry?

If my wife and kids move out because we are seperating, can I start dating? If not and this is consider adultry, what are the consequences?

If you separate, you will still be married prior to an absolute divorce, so any sexual relations with another woman would be considered adultery. The consequences depend largely on where the divorce case will be filed and who the judge is. In general, proof of adultery must be established. If that happens, then the court will consider it among many other factors when deciding on custody and property division. In addition, adultery is still a criminal offense in Maryland, punishable by a fine of $10.
