Age of decision making

At what age is a child considered old enough to make the decision of what parent he wants to live with?

At 16, the child may petition the court and the court is required to consider the child's wishes. Prior to that age, whether the child will be heard is up to the discretion of the court and is generally based on the age and maturity of the child.
