Alimony Enforcement

If your spouse was awarded alimony in a Maryland divorce decree and you move to North Carolina and do not pay the alimony per the decree, what are the provisions for enforcement.

The spouse entitled to the alimony can ask the MD court to reduce it to a judgment. Then (presumably) she files that judgment in North Carolina. Then she can attach a bank account, paycheck, or other property owned by the defaulting spouse.
