alimony

Husband filed for divorce and wife ha s Parkinsons disease and can not hold down a job. should he not have to pay alimony?

If the husband has the ability, based upon his income and assets, to pay alimony, it sounds like the wife is a good candidate for receiving it. She should engage an experienced family attorney and seek to negotiate an agreement that protects her. Failing that, she must make sure that her court pleading responding to the divorce complaint requests not only alimony but attorney's fees, as well as a property division.
