Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

i am an american citizen my wife is a dutch citizen and she currently lives in holland,we've been married for six months she has no green card, i want to get a divorce and i want to protect my house and money.

Under MD law, you must be voluntarily separated (i.e., by consent) for 1 year before you can file for divorce, unless you have "fault" grounds, which does not appear to be the case from your inquiry. If the separation was not by agreement, you must wait 2 years. Even if your wife doesn't contest the case, you must have a witness who can testify about the length of your separation.

With regard to your property, if you owned it before the marriage she is not entitled to share in it generally speaking. Given the short length of the marriage, I assume that is the case. However, any property acquired since you've been married might be consider joint and subject to distribution as part of a divorce unless you can trace its acquisition to funds or property owned prior to the marriage.
