Does aunt have power?

My father is in the hospital, my aunt tells my mother that she has power over my father. Does she have power over my father or do I his daughter have power first?

Unless your father has signed a power of attorney for health care decisions, appointing someone to act in his stead, no one has such power. But if your parents are still married, your mother would have such power, and the ability to seek guardianship for this purpose. After that, you would be next of kin.
